A New Photographic Exhibition by Modern Master R. C. HORSCH Who Specializes in the Defense of Sexuality in Art Opens an International Tour

"Self Portrait " received a Director's Recognition
award and "Deep" and "Beginnings" received Special Recognition awards.

The 80 miniatures, each no larger than 9" x 12," will complement the 109
paintings and 16 sculptures selected by a panel of museum scholars for
inclusion in the 95th Annual Gold Medal Juried Exhibition, which will take
place at the Pasadena Museum of California Art from April 2 to 23.

Recognition " designations, 3 were awarded "Director's Recognition"

Orlando abstract artist Judith Kaplan, whose
five vivid palate knife oils on canvas paintings "Beginnings," "Reds,"
"Deep," "Liberty" and "Self Portrait" were accepted in the juried 7th
Annual International Online Abstraction Art Exhibition "Abstraction VII"
curated by Upstream People Gallery , Omaha, Nebraska, received three awards
in this exhibition.

The juror noted the following statement about her work: "Judith Kaplan's
color field yellowish painting 'Beginnings' brings a fresh and bright
visualization of the idea of a fresh start.

"Showcasing miniature paintings at our Gold Medal Exhibition allows us to

to capture the mood or lighting of a particular scene, only to recreate the
images in larger formats in their studios," he added .

"Sexuality is the crucible of humanity and it distills all of human
experience," says HORSCH , "I believe that not only is sex artistically
legitimate, but that it is the primary and most legitimate avenue of artistic
exploration. It was an interactive exhibition
designed to allow individual viewers to discover their personal limits by
challenging them to draw the line between so-called pornography and art. The art medias presented
include two dimensional oils, acrylics, watercolor , pen and ink, mixed
media, photography and prints.
