Henry Sugimoto (1900-1990) was a prolific artist who immigrated to the
United States from Japan when he was 19 years old. The majority of
the students are adult learners completing their bachelor or advanced
degrees in such fields as education, psychology, creative writing, and
organizational management.

The 32 block prints on display at Antioch are documentary in nature and
capture the pathos of the internment of more than 120,000 Japanese in
America.

After the war, Sugimoto lived in New York City where he became active in
the art community.

prints Sugimoto created during his career as well as several paintings,
owned by family members, which have never been on public display. in room A-1000. With campuses in four states, Antioch exists to
train and nurture students who wish to grow in their professional
development and their commitment to improving the human condition through
responsible leadership in their careers and communities . If a warranted print fades, Epson will provide
the ink and paper needed to make a replacement print .

A rare series of woodblock prints by Artist
Henry Sugimoto will be on display at Antioch University Los Angeles
beginning Wednesday, May 11 with a gala reception in Room A-1000.
In order to earn UltraGiclee certification, printmakers will
attend a training class on proper printing and finishing techniques.
Classes will be offered starting in late spring in various cities
across the country .
