predicted, will be the most extensive in the history of the festival. While we will always put an
emphasis on local talent, we will always exhibit work from around the world.
Local award winning filmmaker Jeff Carroll will present his film,
Golddigger Killer, winner of Best Feature at the H20 Hip Hop Film Festival.

The five Audience Awards -- for narrative feature, documentary
feature, narrative short, documentary short and world cinema -- are presented
at the Cosmic Closing Night Party based on audience votes for the 60+ films
screened during the festival.

for short form film making at the Cosmic Closing Night Party.
A-list stars who have attended the MIFF in the past include Clint
Eastwood, Angela Bassett, Greg Kinnear, Rob Reiner, Adrian Brody, Woody

"In just six years the Maui Film Festival has earned a place among the top
film festivals in the world," said Jerry Maglio, executive vice president of
marketing, SEG.com. While other festivals in the area cater to million dollar
Hollywood films and "so-called" independent films, it is simply a facade to
have expensive parties and rub elbows with movie stars, politicians and
socialites. A friend of

past year and is fighting the fight.
