DENVER , The National Sports Center for the
Disabled (NSCD) celebrates the triumphant return of 18 NSCD -trained athletes
from the 2006 Paralympic Games in Torino, Italy.
The NSCD competition center , led by Erik Peterson and his dynamic team,
identifies and trains world-class disabled athletes in Winter Park and around

that, unlike most other adaptive sports organizations, they accommodate almost
any physical or mental disability.

The NSCD applauds the extraordinary efforts of all of our athletes,
including United States skier , Allison Jones, who won a Gold medal in the
Women's Standing Slalom event; and Laurie Stephens, also representing the
U.org.

The NSCD teaches lessons in 20 different
sports and activities, providing opportunities for people with disabilities
throughout the year; and what is most unique about the NSCD is that they
accommodate any physical or mental disability.

Women's Sitting Super-G; Stephens won the silver medal in Women 's Sitting
Giant Slalom as well. Music to be
performed will be drawn from the Choir's extensive repertoire of over 1,400
different compositions and will include Christmas and Thanksgiving music as
well as music from the Choir's 2005 Pacific Northwest tour.

Other NSCD alums that brought home medals included
Michael Milton of the United Kingdom, who won Silver in Men's Standing
Downhill; Kevin Bramble of the United States, who won Gold in Men's Sitting
Downhill racing; and Toby Kane , also representing Britain, who skied to a
Bronze medal finish in the Men's Standing Super-G event .

Denver for the first time since 1984.

The NSCD has been a trend-setter and
leader in the industry of therapeutic recreation, and has grown into a
nationally-recognized agency serving children and adults with disabilities
throughout Colorado and the country. The Choir will be joined by the
Orchestra at Temple Square , a 60-member symphony orchestra, which like the
Choir is comprised entirely of volunteers.
