filed two additional charges with the federal National Labor Relations Board
(NLRB) alleging multiple violations of federal law by Imerys, a French
company, at its Sylacauga, Ala.
The new NLRB charges are the eleventh and twelfth filed by PACE since
April.

Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The formal complaints issued by the NLRB allege that
Imerys illegally advised employees to abandon their union and promised
benefits to employees if they would do so; threatened employees if they made
complaints under the parties' grievance procedure; and withheld information
requested by the union in the grievance procedure.

behalf of the unionized Imerys employees and with the national contact point
of the French government.
PACE recently announced approval of its executive board to merge with the
575,000-member United Steelworkers of America (USWA), which would make the new
union the largest industrial union in the United States.

for his union activities and for speaking out against management's action;
disciplined and discriminated against employees because of their union
membership; denied work opportunities to union members; unilaterally changed
contract terms without bargaining with the union; and withheld reimbursement
owed to employees for medical expenses incurred under the company's self -
insured benefits plan.
