* Latinos constitute approximately 5 percent of the High Point
population, but this figure is expected to increase
dramatically in the very near future.
* Forty-three percent of Latino young adults and more than half
(51 percent) of Latino parents reported, in a national study
commissioned by The Sallie Mae Fund, that they were not aware
of a single source of college financial aid.
