APRIL'S STORY

In 2002, Rohrer enlisted in the Army National Guard to serve her country
and secure financing to become a registered nurse. She also befriended an Iraqi mother of six who had lost her
husband during the war fighting alongside American soldiers. Since the program's
inception in 2000, more than 40,000 people have learned to ride a
motorcycle, and 42 percent of the students are women.
