and banded with a falcon specific code number in the auditorium of the Rachel
Carson State Office Building before an audience of students and teachers. When the banding effort begins,
the peregrine parents will let out ear-piercing screeches as they swoop and
dive past the scientists at speeds that could reach 200 mph.

Although the banding of the falcons is not a public event, the event will
