While Gotham's first and only spiritual film festival hasn't yet
achieved
the famed status of some of the city's other major cinematic celebrations, The
God on
Film Festival was an overwhelming success in its first year.
The 2004 Special Jury Prize winner

a documentary on Matisyahu, New York's best-known Hasidic
reggae singer who
expresses his faith through chanting and beat-boxing.

announced that submissions are now being accepted
for the second annual competition.

decision to run the festival for a second year was made during the
night of the first festival last
July," said Jason Hatley, executive producer

school seniors today, teen drug use rates were significantly higher in the
late '70s and
early '80s. Yet 62 percent of teens report having friends
who use the drug. With

their views about drugs, it appears old attitudes are like old habits -- they
die hard, and sometimes, not at all. Significant percentages

Families -- includes advertising campaigns, a parent
-centric Web community,
Web resources for parents and a parent-driven campaign to recruit families
that have dealt with substance abuse to spread the word. All actors in The

Guild and the American Federation of Television

scene in America is vastly different today
