The demand for YMCA services remains greater than ever, particularly since
government budgets for critical programs like child care, youth employment,
foster care and housing have been slashed in recent years. The YMCA Partners With Youth Campaign helps
eliminate financial barriers to membership and participation in positive
programs for thousands of children, teens and families.

Youth Violence, and the conditions which create it.

souls wisdom

"We're fortunate to have so many volunteers who help us find the resources to
carry out the YMCA mission," Matt asserts . "It's a privilege to live where so
many people are willing to contribute the funds to build a stronger
community."

The YMCA of Greater Seattle served more than 183,600 community members in
2004, of which more than 100,000 were individuals under age 18-nearly one in
four children under age 18. Since that time, the
organization has established a national and international reputation as a
model for promoting peer-based recovery.
