information technology support to operate and maintain the MON. After an 18-day voyage from Singapore, the vessel
arrived on station in early January to commence the survey in New Ireland
Province approximately 60 km west northwest of Rabaul. Environmental
authorities and mining regulators are being kept fully apprised of the
exciting new development, which has the potential to not only expand Papua New
Guinea's gold industry in a new dimension, but also to put Papua New Guinea on
the world map of innovated mineral explorers.

Located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast at John C. The delivery system components include moored buoys, Coastal Marine
Automated Network sites, voluntary observing ships and oceanographic drifting
buoys and subsurface oceanographic "floats. Their work has suggested that while subsea
mining of sulfides may be new, the technology that may be used to undertake
the work is well known, particularly in the oil and gas sector.

The first new award, valued at $145 million, is an EPIC contract for the
tie-in of oil export pipelines from the Roncador, Marlim Sul and Marlin
Leste fields to the PRA1 booster platform and for other associated tie-in
work at two offloading buoys and a floating storage and offloading tanker. These new
contract awards are evidence of the successful execution of this strategy
over recent months.

Williamson mobilized its AMS-60 deep tow sonar, its C-BASS resistivity and
induced-polarity seabed system, a magnetic gradiometer , towed seafloor video
system and dredging equipment in Singapore in December on the Singaporean
survey vessel M/V Genesis.
Williamson, a veteran ocean engineering firm, uses a variety of
hull-mounted and towed sonars, electrical and magnetic systems to provide
geophysical data, bathymetry charts and seafloor mosaics in support of cable
and pipeline installations, geohazard surveys, small target search and a
variety of other engineering and scientific investigations. This contract to install flexible flowlines and risers in
water depths of up to 2,000 metres was previously extended in 2001 . It is also early evidence of the
successful refocusing of our Houston based business unit in undertaking
project management and engineering work for other parts of the world.

Previous expeditions to the Manus Basin uncovered surprisingly rich deposits
on the seafloor for which preliminary analyses averaged close to 13 grams /ton
gold, 167 g/t silver, 5 percent copper, and 22 percent zinc from four holes
drilled in to the top five meters of the deposit. The chase boat,
Australian vessel M/V Flamingo Bay, is providing positioning services.
Nautilus had earlier completed a pre-feasibility engineering study of
mining sea floor and identified relevant techniques and technologies from the
offshore oil and gas industry .
