the replacement of fossil fuels with sustainable biomass in selected cement

systems and products across the construction chain, and showcase examples of
state-of-the-art buildings, enhancing the ecological efficiency of buildings.
As part of the partnership, persistent pollutants that could be found in
inputs to, and emissions from cement plants will receive specific attention
through the identification of ways to limit these emissions by improving
production processes.
"Working together in both the federal courts and in our own state
legislatures, the Great Lakes states have made significant progress in
protecting this region's greatest treasure," said Cox.
In an effort to stop the environmental and economic damage , Cox and the
other Great Lakes Attorneys General successfully sued in federal court to
force the EPA to regulate ballast water discharge under the Clean Water Act.
