Founded in 1987, ARO has
provided basic relief, food and hygiene/medical supplies, and
thousands of pounds of school supplies throughout Afghanistan with
volunteer relief teams from the U.S. Students who enroll in OHVA receive a
computer, monitor, printer, access to the K12 On-Line School, lessons,
assessments , books, materials, planning and progress tools, and much more --
all tuition-free.

The Afghan Holiday Classic will be held at Estancia High
School, 2323 Placentia Ave.
In 2002, ARO established a Technical Education Center (TEC) in
Kabul and now provides educational programs for almost 400 girls and
boys; many children attended school in Afghanistan for the first time
in 2002. In OHVA , students work at home with a parent or
responsible adult and receive instruction and guidance from certified public
school teachers who operate remotely.
