Classical German Dressage Open House in Brewster; Crown Dressage's Ron Postleb to Demonstrate Winning Techniques

Visitors to the open house, hosted by Postleb and his wife
Barbara, will witness a presentation steeped in European tradition,
including a demonstration of lateral movements , the development from
first leg yielding to shoulder-in, to travers and renvers to
half-passes . "Competitive dressage owners and riders will be
well served to attend this once-a-year event and see why there is a
waiting list of customers to our facilities.

Several horses will be presented , including: Romulus, an
11-year-old Oldenburg gelding and FEI horse, owned and ridden by
Postleb in a demonstration of lateral movements; and Gideon, a
19-year-old Hanoverian gelding, also an FEI horse, owned by LaVerle
Jessup, demonstrating work in-hand with Postleb and Ivan Kelly, a CDI
assistant trainer.
Before, during and after presentations, Postleb will be available
to answer questions about his teaching and training techniques, and
the available horses for sale.

Drill teams, originally called carousels, originated as far back as the 1800's in Vienna, performing the classical equitation of Dressage to classical music for royalty.

family , will be on hand from Valencia, Spain to unveil the two premiere
Make-A-Wish sculptures and to make a special $25,000 contribution to the
Foundation. Granting more than 11,500 wishes a year and 127 ,000
wishes worldwide since inception, the Make-A-Wish Foundation celebrates "25
Years Making Dreams Come True" in 2005.
