Soldiers Wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan Will Rehabilitate Through
Adaptive Sports Programs

Disabled Sports USA (DS/USA) and Wounded Warrior Project (WWP)
tomorrow will announce a partnership to provide a year -long sports and
recreation program for soldiers from all branches of the military, who
were severely injured during the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan."
The program inspires kids because "we give them the outdoors as a
classroom," says Logsdon.

"Wounded Warrior Project is delighted to have HBO's Inside the NFL
on hand as we announce our partnership with Disabled Sports USA, which
will provide sports and recreation programs for wounded military men
and women severely injured in Iraq and Afghanistan," said John Melia,
director of Wounded Warrior Project.

Millions of kids and their parents are thinking about college right now as
deadlines for federal financial aid packages rapidly approach. "They learn at a very impressionable age, firsthand
lessons about leadership , using good judgment, risk management and
self-discipline.

The soldiers will learn how active they can be WITH
their disability, and through sports, we hope to show them the bright
future ahead . The WWP has delivered
over 3,000 backpacks filled with comfort items to soldiers recovering
at military hospitals around the world including Bethesda and Walter
Reed. The program also
sponsors adaptive sports clinics and activities that assist the
veterans during their rehabilitation process .
