Detroit to Host 2008 National Bridge Championships

"Detroit set the standard with its hosting of the Super Bowl this year,"
said Ronald Horwitz, former dean and finance professor at Oakland University
and co-chair of the 2008 tournament.
Horwitz said that they will have the same attention to detail and the same
kind of participation from local residents as did the Super Bowl.
Karmanos said he intends to play in the tournament, and hopes that local
bridge players join him at the event.
